Surface Preparation

Surface should be free of oil, grease, loose material and should be clean and dry. If unsure, wash the surface with an appropriate cleaner (such as household cleaner, cleaning solution, or methylated spirits). Remove any unsound coatings and sand any remaining paint film smooth and level. Galvanised metal should be cleaned with methylated spirits. Exposed wood should be sanded lightly to remove loose fibres. If priming over a stained area, remove as much of the stain as possible. Clean or treat mould and rust and spot prime after preparation. Some stains or very porous surfaces may require 2 coats. For the best results, allow to dry overnight before applying a solar cooling paint as a topcoat.

Cleanup Information

Clean spills and spatters immediately with soap and warm water. Clean hands and tools immediately after use with soap and warm water. After cleaning, flush spray equipment with compliant clean-up solvent to prevent rusting of the equipment. Follow manufacturer's safety recommendations when using solvents.
